Victory for Flowers Against Bee-Killing Pesticides

Coneflowers

The bees have it!

Environmentalists were today celebrating a "victory for bees" as the European Union banned nerve-agent pesticides which have been blamed for killing off bees in their millions.

Which of course means a victory for flowers, and natural growing techniques, in turn. Nerve-agent pesticides are applie diectly to plant seeds, meaning that they infect the entire body -- even the pollen -- of the adult plant. With the new ban being enforced, we can now hope to see many more healthy bees buzzing around the meadows of Europe -- and lots of brightly blooming flowers as a result!
