Flower Delivery to Cholesbury – A Village in Buckinghamshire, England
Situated in the Chiltern Hills, Cholesbury is about four miles east of Wendover, five miles north of Chesham and five miles from Berkhamstead. It's on the border with Hertfordshire and is one of four villages that comprise Cholesbury-cum-St Leonards, a civil parish within the Chiltern District.
Cholesbury is a rural community and a lot of its residents work in neighbouring towns or London which is quite close by. Covering just 178 acres, this village is one of the smallest in Buckinghamshire.
Cholesbury means “Cealwald's burh” or plateau camp which is of Anglo-Saxon origin. It also refers to the Cholesbury Camp – an Iron Age hillfort – located near the centre of the village.
During the time of Edward the Confessor, the manor was part of the estate of Aluric, the King's thane. It is recorded in the Domesday Book as “Chowdesbury.”
Cholesbury started out as a small, temporary settlement and slowly grew into a hamlet. The population was large enough during the time of Henry III that it was enough to be its own separate manor.

Cholesbury Windmill – built in the 19th century originally as a smock mill but was rebuilt in the style of a tower.
Cholesbury Village Hall – dates back to 1895 and was built on land given by banker Frederick Butcher, a contemporary of the Rothschild family.
Full Moon – a public house that traces its history back to the 17th century.
