New Ellerby is a small hamlet locayed in East Riding of Yorkshire in England. This hamlet and several other hamlets and villages are part of the area that is commonly known as Holderness.

Ellerby was mentioned in the Domesday Book in 1086. This area was known as Alverdabi and consisted of only several houses and no more than 30 people.
New Ellerby is located very close to Old Ellerby and together with this hamlet they form the civil parish of Ellerby. In the beginning of the 19th century Ellerby was part of the Swine civil parish. This village had about 200 residents and most of them were farmers. The connection with the railway that happened in 1864 has significantly affected the life in this hamlet, but the railway station stopped working in 1964.

This house was built in the end of the 18th century and this is actually the original Wood Hall. Built in 1798 this house features five bays of unique brown brick in a combination with red brick decorations.
