Flower Delivery to Black Bourton with Clare Florist

Black Bourton is a village in the English county of Oxfordshire, West Oxfordshire district. It lies 23 km west of Oxford and 105 km west of London. In 2001 the town had 274 residents.

Near to Bampton, this village is worth a visit to see the outstanding medieval wall paintings in the church. The painter William Turner (1789 - 1862), often called Turner of Oxford to distinguish him from his more famous contemporary JMW Turner, was born in the village.
A parish church (in English parish church) of the Church of England is a proper Christian place of worship in England.

Church of England -The parish church is the heart of the parish, that is to say, the first hierarchical level of the Church of England. Since the nineteenth century, the term "parish church" is also used to avoid confusion with the civil parish. Although the parish churches of the Roman Catholic Church also exist in England, the reference to a "parish church" without further specification usually refers to a church dedicated to the Anglican worship.

Most parishes have a parish church, which is often an ancient monument. Sometimes, however, in the absence of an existing church, the bishop of the diocese means a non-dedicated building to dedicate to worship; then we use the term centre of parish worship (parish centre of worship).

The parish is now part of the Benefice of Shill Valley and Broadshire, which includes also the parishes of Alvescot, Broadwell, Broughton Poggs, Filkins, Holwell, Kelmscott, Kencot, Langford, Little Faringdon, Shilton and Westwell.

The influential romantic novelist Maria Edgeworth was born in Black Bourton in 1767. A cul-de-sac in Carterton is named "Edgeworth Drive" after her. The painter William Turner was born in Black Bourton in 1789.

Bourton Place was the manor house of the Hungerford family. It was demolished in about 1800. The village school was designed by the architect Sir George Gilbert Scott and built in 1865. In 1873 the East Gloucestershire Railway between Fairford and Witney was opened. It provided Alvescot railway station 1⁄2 mile (800 m) west of Black Bourton on the road to Alvescot. The Great Western Railway took over the line in 1890 and British Railways closed it in 1962.

For most urban dwellers landscaped balcony is the only place where they can spend pleasant moments "nature" and for those who have a yard, "Green Summer room" offers the opportunity to develop their ideas for interior design. The huge terrace or tiny balcony - anywhere can create a cozy place where the warm summer evenings or weekends to enjoy the colorful blooms and sweet fragrance of summer flowers and exotic container shrubs.

Classic summer flowers decorate the balconies and sakazchetata geranium, fuchsia, begonias and especially popular in recent years petunias, which are marketed in really fantastic variety of varieties, sizes and colors. These plants have earned the love and trust of fans thanks to their durability and heavy blooms even in very adverse weather conditions.
