Crudgington, in the county of Shropshire, is located in the West Midlands region of England. It is a village within the larger borough of Telford and Wrekin.

Crudgington is mentioned in the Domesday Book as ‘Crugetone.’ The village was part of several different family lands and manors over the years. By the late 13th century, Crudgington was a part of Shrewsbury Abbey. It later became part of the Lilleshall estate and the Dukes of Sutherland.

Church of St. Mary is a small village church within Crudgington, built in the 1860s. It is an active member of the Church of England. The church’s architecture is known for its wooden bell chamber and spirelet.

Crudgington’s main industry throughout the 20th century was dairy farming. The industry was formed as a co-operative in the 1920s before being taken over by the Milk Marketing Board in 1935. The dairy in the village produced butter and dairy spreads for a wide variety of brands and operated as Dairy Crest Creamery. The creamery closed in 2014 and buildings demolished. The land will be reused for a housing development.
