Darsham is a quiet and peaceful village in Suffolk, East England. It's located around four miles from the market town of Saxmundham and approximately halfway between the towns of Lowestoft and Ipswich. The village is bypassed by the A12 road and is served by rail transport through the Darsham Railway Station as well as by a couple of bus routes to Leiston and Saxmundham.

Darsham's current name was taken from the words “Deores Ham”, which means “the home of the deer”. This term was used to refer to the village because its local roadways used to be chaseways, and hunting took place in the area even until the 18th century.

Darsham was included in the Domesday Book, which noted that the village was part of the Blything hundred and had 39 households, which was considered to be quite large. The lord of the manor at the time was Ansketil the priest while the tenant-in-chief was Roger Bigot.

The village was the location of RAF High Street (which was part of the Chain Home early warning radar stations) during World War II. The station had four receive towers that were built from wood and stood at 240 feet as well as five transmit towers that were made of steel and were 360 feet tall. The latter were demolished in the late 1950s, and the site of RAF High Street became a fireworks factory.

Today, Darsham is a small mixed community that contains six farms.
