The small village of Ufton lies within the English county of Warwickshire where it forms part of the Stratford District. As of 2011, the population of the village was 319. Situated five miles to the south east of Leamington Spa and two miles to the west of Southam, Ufton is situated on the A425 road.

The village has drawn geological interest for its placement on a glacial escarpment 121 metres above sea level, formed during the last ice age. Nearby Ufton Fields is 77 acre Site of Special Scientific Interest. There is also a parish church, dedicated to St Michael, which dates back to beginning of the 13th century. Within walking distance of the village to the north you can find the Grand Union Canal.

In terms of etymology, the origin of the name Ufton is unclear. The Long Itchington Charter refers to the village as Wulluht Graf, or Ufton Wood in modern English. The Domesday book refers to the settlement as Ulchtune. One theory which has been proposed is that the name comes from the Danish chief Ulla who lived in the area. It has historic links to Balliol College of Oxford Universitywhich owned much of the parish land during the 19th century.

Notable incidents in the history of the village include a large fire during September of 2007 where 100 tonnes of rubber burned for two days, drawing the attention of the national press. Just a year later, the village was awarded the accolade of "Best Village in Warwickshire" and "Best Communications" section.
