Located within the Vale of Evesham, Cropthorne is around 12 miles southeast of Worcester. The village is situated on a small ridge that overlooks the River Avon. It is blessed with ancient orchards that sweep down to the river and provide very clear views of the vale to the Malvern Hills in the distance.
Cropthorne is featured in the Domesday Book and has a church that dates back to the 12th century. In the village, you will see lots of timbre-framed thatched cottages dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries. Even half of the village is designated as a Conservation Area. Cropthorne is also a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
In 2000, Cropthorne won the award for best kept medium village award.
