The 18-hectare nature reserve is a great place for families, wildlife watches and educational groups to learn something and enjoy being close to nature. Among the species to look out for include kingfishers, buzzards, tawny and barn owls, bullfinches, willow and marsh tits, great spotted woodpeckers, water and bank voles, weasels, stoats and tree creepers.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens – an award-winning family day out located in Fakenham, Norfolk. The nature reserve features lovely gardens and wonderful wildlife. Pensthorpe also features Wildrootz, a play area for children.
Holkham Hall – an 18th-century Palladian mansion that is a privately owned and lived-in. The home features a library, as well as statues, paintings and furniture that have been loaned to various galleries and museums around the world. Holkham used to feature a walled garden and although it is currently being restored, visitors can see how much progress has been made.
