History

Not much has been written about the history of Llanbradach, a significant part of history is the Llanbradach Colliery which opened in the 1890s. In 1996, a memorial was erected. This is to commemorate the men and boys who were killed at the colliery during an underground explosion in 1901. It was closed it 1961.
