History

For many centuries, farmers lived in the area raising crops and cattle as the village slowly took shape around the church. The first real mention of Littleham didn’t occur until the 16th century. St. Swithun’s Church is the oldest structure in Littleham and was constructed in 1538.  Over the next few centuries, Littleham and the surrounding villages began to grow as more people moved into the area.
The Georgian style mansion known as Hallsannery was constructed during the 19th century and was the home of noted photographer Richard Boucher James during the same century. Today, Littleham and Landcross have grown closer is certain ways thanks in large part to the towns being tied economically together. Activities

Although small, the village of Littleham does offer a few activities for its residents. One of the most prominent is the Film and Gardening clubs which are very popular. The first Saturday of most months features a film that is shown to the public.
