Located just beside Boynton Hall, this Georgian brick and stone church has a very interesting interior, with painted pews and a gallery which can be accessed through a spiral staircase. On the east end side of the church is the mausoleum of the Strickland Family of Boynton where the tombs of Elizabeth Boynton and her husband, Sir Thomas Newport are situated as well as inscriptions with the names of other family members buried there. Quite noticeable are the turkey carvings and paintings as well as the turkey designed lectern in the church. William Strickland, who built the Boynton Hall, brought during the 16th century the first wild turkey from the United States to Britain which was believed to be the reason behind the quirk interior. This is a late medieval hall house acquired by William Strickland of Marske in 1549. The house was renovated in 1684 from the original diapered brickwork façade with an H-designed floor plan. From within the area, turrets were added up to the front of the garden which served as closets. Excavations revealed the layout of pre-18th century gardens, with the Garden House said to be a banqueting house where guests were given a view of the formal garden filled with flowers in Boynton.
