Because of its location near Shepherd’s Bush, it is a fantastic hub of commerce, but it wasn’t always.  Until 1841, Shepherd’s Bush was mostly rural homes and farmland, and has only become such a hub in the past two centuries.

Currently, the city council is making plans to build a number of flats in the area, as well as renovating some of the older buildings.  Not everyone is a fan of these renovation plans, however, and they are still being contested in some circles.
