HISTORY

Although the etymology of Harriseahead's name isn't known, the “-head” part of its name is attributed to the Old English word heafod which refers to the high location of the town in the Staffordshire Moorlands.

Rode Hall and Gardens – an 18th-century country house considered one of the finest in Cheshire. The grounds include a woodland garden, a formal garden and a kitchen garden.

Congleton Museum – a local history museum where you get to learn the history of Congleton from prehistoric times to the present.
